Dignity set out support for inquiry into Hull baby ashes cases
Dignity has today set out its support for Diana Johnson MP's call for a full independent inquiry into the Hull baby ashes cases.
Steve Gant, Dignity's Crematorium Director said: "We support Diana Johnson MP’s call for an independent inquiry into these cases. Whilst there is no suggestion that these incidents took place at Dignity-operated crematoria, it is important that all families have appropriate access to and knowledge of the details relating to their cases.
"Where there are cases of infant or baby cremations, Dignity is strongly committed to ensuring that all available options and outcomes are properly communicated to the families. We have clear practices in place in relation to record keeping, and it is important that these high standards are promoted across the industry."
