Christine's friends and family attended the event raising £2,000 for the hospice.
Christine Nelson, Funeral Service Arranger
"As a celebration for my 60th Birthday in September, I arranged an afternoon tea at the family home for 80 friends. The aim was to raise funds for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford, Chester as a thank you for the care and kindness they showed to my husband Richard. He passed away in the Hospice on 20th December 2014 after being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2012. It was a lovely day and we raised an amazing £1,000 which was matched by Barclays Bank bringing the total to £2,000, much more than I ever expected to raise."
