Fulham Funeral Directors in the Tower of London
Fulham Funeral Directors, R Brain and G Gamble & Son had the rare honour of carrying out a funeral at the Tower of London.
The funeral service, which took place in HM Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula, was for a direct descendant of the Keeper of the Jewel House which is where the Crown Jewels are kept. The funeral took place by permission of HM The Queen, whose authority had to be sought.
Funeral Service Arranger, Deborah Whelan cared for the family and the arrangements, and Philip Smyth, Business Manager, conducted the funeral and had several days planning at the Tower before the funeral took place.
Security was a high priority due to the venue but the service all went very well. Some of the Yeoman Warders commented that they could not remember a funeral taking place in the Tower, so it was a rare occasion indeed.
