New crematorium & cemetery in Kent receives the green light
The development will be a single-storey, state-of-the-art crematorium surrounded by 40 acres of beautifully landscaped Gardens of Remembrance with a cemetery on land that has already been allocated for this purpose. The development will reduce journey times for bereaved families and the wait for a service time to be available at Eltham Crematorium - the busiest crematorium in the country. Our latest crematorium will offer 1 hour services so that mourners do not feel rushed on the day they want to remember their loved one.
As with our other 40 crematoria, Dignity will be a responsible custodian of the site and have agreed to a long-term management regime, in consultation with the Council and Kent Wildlife Trust, to ensure that ecological interests are protected and enhanced.
