New president visits Walthamstow funeral home
The new president of the London Association of Funeral Directors, James Gallagher, recently visited Alfred English & Sons of Walthamstow in North East London as his first official engagement.
The visit was part of the Service of Re-dedication at the funeral home where local clergy blessed the refurbished St James Service Chapel and Chapels of Rest. Following the service James Gallagher and funeral director Maxine Fahri marked the occasion by releasing symbolic white doves.
“It was an honour to have the new president at Alfred English & Sons,” said Craig Collier, area manager.
The 80-seater service chapel and anteroom have been tastefully redecorated and the flooring around the altar has been improved. The altar and pews came from a local church prior to it being demolished.
