Rebecca abseils 94 meters for The Rowans Hospice
Business manager, Rebecca Lambert, from A G Stapleford & Sons Funeral Directors took part in a charity abseil down the Emirates Spinnaker Tower on Sunday 3 July. Rebecca took on the 94 meter decent in aid of The Rowans Hospice, Portsmouth and so far has raised over £600.
The Rowans Hospice is a local charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses. The hospice was established in 1994 and provides its services free of charge to families across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.
Rebecca Lambert, business manager
"Soaring 170 meters above Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent, the Tower is taller than the London Eye, Big Ben and Blackpool Tower! I chose to raise funds for The Rowans Hospice as each day my colleagues and I meet families who have sadly lost relatives with terminal illnesses and hear a lot about the wonderful care that they have received at the hospice."
Last year, Rebecca took part in a sky dive in aid of the hospice and raised over £1,100.
Rebecca Lambert, business manager
"I had a fantastic time during my abseil and enjoyed every minute! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I am confident that The Rowans Hospice will be extremely grateful for every penny raised."
