Rebecca and Natasha take the leap for charity!

Business manager, Rebecca Lambert, and funeral service arranger, Natasha Steere, from A G Stapleford & Sons Funeral Directors in Portsmouth, took part in a charity sky dive on Saturday 9 May. The pair fell 10,000ft at Netheravon Airfield, Salisbury, in aid of The Rowans Hospice, Portsmouth.

Natasha said: “Each day we deal with families who have sadly lost relatives with terminal illnesses and we hear a lot about the wonderful care that they had received from the hospice. As the majority of the funding for the hospice comes from charitable donations, Rebecca and I wanted to do our bit so that the hospice can continue to provide excellent care for local families.”

Karen Kay, community fundraiser at The Rowans Hospice, said: “A massive thank you to Rebecca and Natasha for taking on this incredible challenge in aid of The Rowans Hospice. We appreciate every penny raised.”

Rebecca added: “The sky dive was scary but well worth it! One thing that struck me after I stopped ‘falling’, post chute opening, was the silence and complete sense of calm. I would definitely do it again, perhaps next year though!”

In total, the pair raised over £1,100 for the hospice which will go towards care and support for those affected by life-limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and East Hampshire.
