Dignity has made substantial investment in E Hurton & Son since acquiring the business from Yew Holdings Ltd
Retford funeral home gets a new look
In January this year Dignity expanded its presence in the north of England by acquiring 40 funeral homes and 2 crematoria from Yew Holdings Ltd. Dignity are investing £2.5 million in these businesses to further improve the facilities on offer to their clients.
This autumn one such project was completed which saw the former Yew Holdings Ltd business, E Hurton & Son of Retford, Nottinghamshire, get a whole new look with an investment of £250,000.
The funeral home is now even more impressive with the exterior of the building being renovated and a complete refurbishment of the interior both in areas the public visit and back of house facilities. The refurbished funeral home has three Chapels of Rest, three comfortable arrangement rooms and a memorial showroom.
Funeral director, Stephen Hancock said: "This substantial investment by Dignity has even further enhanced how we can care for families in Retford. The fascia of the building has been radically improved and having the interior completely renovated has given our funeral home a really modern and relaxed atmosphere."
E Hurton & Sons recently held a very successful Open Day and Service of Re-Dedication to enable the public to view the new facilities.
