Staff and family at Wm Tyre & Son raised over £1,000 by climbing Goat Fell in Scotland
Scottish climbers raise over £1,000
Four members of staff at Wm Tyre & Son in Largs, Scotland, climbed Goat Fell in three hours and came back down in two in a fantastic initiative that raised over £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Andy Park, Sandra Cathcart, David Shearer and Helen Shearer undertook the climb with members of their families.
"The climb went brilliantly," said Andy. "The weather was good and clear all the way to the top. It was a bit of a struggle but we took our time and every one of us completed it. The youngest person in our party was only eight years old and the oldest was seventy, so it just goes to show that everyone can be involved supporting this charity! We had so much support from everyone in our community and I am honoured to be part of it."
